1898 Plaudit Tac Pin
This pin honors Plaudit, who won the 1898 Kentucky Derby with future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame jockey Willie Simms up. Plaudit won by a nose over Isabey in an exciting last run to the finish. Plaudit was bred by Dr. J. D. Neet, jointly owned by Neet and John E. Madden, and also jointly trained by Edward D. Brown and Albert Simons.
