1959 Tomy Lee Tac Pin
This pin honors Tomy Lee, winner of the 1959 Kentucky Derby with jockey Willie Shoemaker up. After a claim of a foul on Tomy Lee’s final turn was happily overturned, he became the winner over Troilus and Sword Dancer. Tomy Lee was bred by D. H. Wills, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Turner Jr. and trained by Frank E. Childs. In retirement, he stood as a stud at Stallion Station in Kentucky.
